Making a Bear Photography Book

If you enjoy bear photography, then share your creations with the world via a photography book. Photography books allow you to arrange your bear photographs and print them out. Many different online companies offer easy to follow online guides, and these sites have a variety of themes from which you can choose. These sites are so easy to use that you’ll quickly catch on how to create a bear photography photo book, even if you have never done it before.

Select Your Photographs

The first thing that you want to do is go through all of your bear photographs and select the best ones. Then, figure out how you want to arrange the photographs. You can do it chronologically or artistically. You need to choose how many photographs that you want to use. Usually, there is a set fee for 20 or so photographs.

If you need more than the minimum amount of photographs, then it costs more. And, usually the price is based on each additional photograph or a certain number of photographs.

Pick a Printer

Once you choose your photographs, it’s time to start searching for an online printer. Three of the best known are Blurb, Shutterfly and Picaboo. Scan through all of these websites before selecting one. Look at the themes for the book and see if any of them fit the look for which you are going.

When you find one that you like, look at the prices of the photo books. Generally, the soft cover books are less expensive than hard cover books. Soft cover books are usually about $20 while the hard cover books are about $30. But, these sites run sales all the time or offer deals on group buying sites like Groupon. All of these sites are free to use. You just have to pay for the photo book. So, feel free to experiment with all of them.

Creating Your Book

Depending on the site, you can either do everything online or you may have to download the software. For example, with Shutterfly you just need to upload the photos that you plan on using. You don’t need to download anything.

Select the theme that you would like to use and then start dragging and dropping your photos into place. See how many photos that you can fit without paying extra. Then, figure out if you want to buy more pages. If you do, then you usually just have to press a plus or add sign.

Add captions, dates or explanations as you need to. You can also add information to the front page about who took the photographs, the name of the book and the location.

Preview and Buy

Once everything is aligned, preview your book to see if you want to make any changes. Then, order it from the printer. You’ll usually receive it within a week or two. Then, you’ll have a book to place on your coffee table or to share with friends and clients.
