Playback Screens & Menus

When you press the Play button, the last image captured is displayed full screen. There are three display options available by pressing the DISPlay button; from no exposure details, minimum information, to minimum info with the a small 5 frame index at the top.

Here you can see the Index image mode, which allows you to view files stored on you memory card(s) quickly with either 4, 9, or 25 small thumbnails. This option is activated by pressing the AEL/Index button on the back of the camera body. To search through files, you simply use the left/right/up/down directiong of the 5-way controller.

Pressing the Magnifying glass (AF/MF) button will enter the Magnify or Zoom-Playback mode, which enlarges an image up to 19x for critical inspection. You can then scroll around the enlarged image using the 5-way controller, and change the degree of magnification using the main control dial. An indicator is displayed at the top right corner, displaying the portion of the image that is being enlarged framed in orange.

The Play Menu has options to Delete images, Format the memory card, Protect/Unprotect images, select images for DPOF printing, Playback display options (Manual or Auto rotate), and start a Slide show.
