Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX9 Preview

The second of Sony's new 3D Sweep Panorama capable cameras, the Cyber-Shot DSC-TX9 is their new "top of the line" T-series model, which replaces the DSC-TX7. This petite little gem boast some impressive features in its tiny metal frame, many of which are shared with the DSC-WX5. On top of the new 3D Sweep Panorama mode, the TX9 delivers 12-megapixels of resolution from a Exmor R CMOS image sensor, their all new Superior Auto exposure mode, Background Defocus, Tracking Autofocus mode, Natural Flash, Background Color Selection, AVCHD video recording at 1920x1080 (60i), and a sweet 3.5-inch Xtra Fine touchscreen LCD.

The Cyber-Shot DSC-TX9 will start shipping in September (2010) with a suggested retail price of $399 US, and will be available in two colors

  • MS Duo Pro and SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slots (Eye-Fi compatible)
  • Li-ion rechargeable battery pack
