Playback Screens & Menus
When you select PLAY mode the last picture taken is displayed. You can
move backward or forward through the images using the LEFT and RIGHT buttons. The
overlay information is displayed briefly when a new image is selected.
Press the MENU button for 2 seconds to display this information.
You can quickly search through stored images using the Index playback
function which is actuated by pressing the WIDE zoom button. Nine thumbnail size
images will be displayed and you can select one using the 4-way controller's
buttons and then pressing the SET button.
The image can be magnified up to 4050% in many steps by pressing the telephoto zoom
button. Once the image is enlarged you can move around (Pan) inside of it.
You can also save a magnified/cropped image as a lower resolution image by pressing the
shutter release.
Playback MENU options:
PLAYBACK METHOD - Play ALL (slideshow) or 1 clip
MULTI - Display 9 thumbnails per page
VOLUME - Adjust speaker volume
PROTECT - Protect image or movie against deletion
ERASE - Single frame or All frames
ROTATE - Rotate portrait mode images 90° CW or CCW
RESIZE - Resize large images down to 2M or 0.3M
EXTRACT STILL - Extract a still frame from a video clip
EDIT VIDEO - Edit length, join 2 or more clips, extract still frame
DPOF - Print order information
SMOOTH PLAYBACK - Output video to TV at 60fps
Resize large images down to smaller images for email, web use or just to save space
on your SD card.
Playback of your audio-only recordings.
Press the MENU button for 2 seconds to display the information.
Movie clips can be played in the camera or viewed on a TV using the A-V or
S-Video cable and if you have a HDTV with Component video you can playback your HD
movies in fullscreen 16:9 resolution using the Component video AV cable !

You can edit movies by joining two or more clips into a single movie, you can delete
portions of movies or you can extract a single frame and save it as a still image. You
can also enable the Smooth Playback option to improve the output to the TV screen.
