Bottom Line
Samsung's WB250F point-n-shoot camera is a lot of fun to use and provides a pretty good value. Even though this camera has some performance issues and there's a bit of image softness at large sizes, it still stacks up very nicely against other models in its price range. The WB250F is extremely easy to use, thanks to a sharp touch screen LCD and one of the smartest menu organizational structures that you're going to find on a digital camera. Throw in an easy-to-use built-in Wi-Fi feature, and the WB250F is a camera that's easy to like. If the image quality was just a little better, this easily would be one of the best point-and-shoot cameras on the market. Read more in our Full Conclusion.
Building upon last year's WB150F, Samsung has announced the flagship in its WB series of long zoom cameras for 2013; the WB250F. This camera offers a 14.2-megapixel BSI CMOS image sensor mated to an 18x optical zoom lens. You're also getting a new touchscreen display and an all new hybrid touch user interface. Professional and enthusiast photographers will definitely admire the optional full manual mode, but newbies and technophobes don't have to worry thanks to SMART mode, which automatically selects the best settings for any shooting scenario.

Samsung's other big CES 2013 announcement is the update to its mobile app, SMART CAMERA 2.0. Available for iOS and Android, the upgraded app boasts new features like AutoShare, which sends photos from your digicam straight to your smart phone. Direct Link allows you to assign your favorite WiFi function to a single button. Remote Viewfinder allows you to use your smart phone as a camera display. And Mobile Link is a fast and easy way to share you pics online. If you purchase a WB250F, make sure to download this app.
