Playback Screens & Menus
The Review button brings up the last image captured in full screen mode with some information
overlayed. If an audio caption is attached there will be a "musical note" icon below the image #
and you press "up" on the 4-way controller to replay it. Press "right" or "left" to scroll
through the captured images.
Like the record mode, in playback you can enable the histogram which also displays
the exposure information. Pressing the OK button toggles the overlay display modes.
Pressing the Wide Zoom control button brings up the thumbnail index mode, here you can quickly
search through the stored images and select one for full screen playback. Press it again and the
calendar mode is displayed.
While an image is displayed full screen you can magnify it by pressing the Zoom-Telephoto
button. Once magnified you can scroll around inside of it
using the 4-way selector. You can enlarge up to 8x in 0.1x steps.
Movie clips playback fullscreen, the 4-way selector acts as the start, stop and
pause control.
You can pause a movie and play it forwards or backwards one frame at a time.
The play mode menu has options for playing an automatic slideshow, resizing images,
trimming images, copying from internal memory to card, rotating images,
applying a digital filter, brightness filter, edit a movie, add a frame composite,
touch up red-eye, protect, set DPOF info, recover deleted images and change the
start-up screen.
The Digital Filter mode allows you to alter your images after capture.
The filters include:
Black & White, Sepia, Red, Pink, Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow, Soft.
The Resize option lets you create a smaller image in-camera for email or web page use
or to reclaim some memory space in a pinch.
The Trim function lets you crop/rotate an image and then save it as a new image
with the quality level of your choice.
