Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ7 Preview

Panasonic's SZ-series just added two new models to its lineup. First up, we have the LUMIX DMC-S7, which exclusively features a 14.1 megapixel MOS sensor, 1080i HD video recording, Light Speed Auto Focus (focus in 0.1seconds), 3D photo mode, and three extra iA (Intelligent Auto) modes, including High Dynamic Range, Handheld Nightshot and Motion Deblur. The only potential drawback for this camera versus the presumably more affordable SZ1 is the SZ7's lack of body color choices.

Otherwise, the two new SZ cameras virtually interchangeable in term of features, including a 25mm wide angle lens with a 10x optical zoom, a 3.0" Intelligent LCD screen, two brand new shooting modes (Miniature Effect for a tilt-shift effect, and Panorama Shot for snapping vertical or horizontal panoramas), Creative Retouch mode (with six filters), Auto Retouch mode, iA mode (see the full list of modes below) to let the camera help you take the most accurate and professional pictures possible, and USB battery recharging (in addition to the standard AC adapter).
