The Playback mode on the FX75 puts even more control right at your fingertips. Here you can see that the image delete icon and the DISP. icon are always present. As you press the DISP. button, the amount of information about the current image changes. You will also see icons for the index mode and the star to add the image to your favorites.

Index mode allows you to view your recorded images quickly and easily. It's activated by pressing the Wide zoom control or the Index icon on the screen. You have the choice of either viewing 12 or 30 thumbnail images at a time to quickly find the image you are looking for. If you have a lot of images on the card and know the specific date in which an image was taken, you can enter into the calendar mode and select your images based on its record date.

You can either use the touchscreen or the zoom lever to zoom in on any of your images. It allows you to zoom in up to 16x so you can check for sharpness an see smaller details in the image.

Playback Mode Options:
  • Normal Playback - Allows you to search through the images and movies one at a time, in the order they were captured
  • Slideshow - Runs a slideshow on the camera of all of the images. Its an easy way to put a slideshow on a TV anywhere
  • Calendar - Brings up the calendar so you can search through your images based on when they were taken
  • Mode Play - Allows you to sort your stored files by file type: Images, Motion JPEG movies and AVCHD Lite movies
  • Category Play - Automatically sorts your images based on detected faces, scene modes, movies and many more
  • Favorite Play - Only shows the images and movies that you have marked as favorites

Playback Menu Options:
  • Title Edit - Allows you to edit the titles of your images
  • Video Divide - Allows you to edit your movies
  • Text Stamp - Add Shooting Date, Name, Location, Travel Date or Title to an image
  • Resize - Create a smaller copy of an image already saved on your memory card
  • Cropping - Adjust the composition of your images after they were captured
  • Leveling - Slightly adjust the orientation of the image to level an object such as a building
  • Rotate Disp. - On or Off
  • Favorite - On or Off
  • Print Set - Single, Multi
  • Protect - Protect images from deletion
  • Copy - Copy images back and forth from the internal memory and SD card

Cropping allows you to zoom in and adjust the composition of an image. It also allows you to remove unwanted objects from the edges of your images.

Leveling allows you to change the orientation of an image by as little as 0.2° at a time, verses the Rotation tool that only changes it by 90° at a time. This is perfect for fixing an image that was captured just off level.

Resize allows you to make a smaller copy of image. These are perfect for email, blog and web posting as well as just a way to free up some space on a full SD card in an emergency.

Watching movies on the camera is very easy thanks to the simple controls. You can also play them back on a computer or standard TV via the included cables or with an optional HDMI cable, you can watch on a HDTV.

Video divide allows you to split a movie, removing any unwanted parts from the beginning or end of your movies.

  • Clock Set - Set the time and date
  • World Time - Set a home location and the travel destination
  • Travel Date - Set the dates and locations for your trip
  • Beep - Changes the volume of several of the camera settings
  • Volume - Internal speaker volume control
  • LCD Mode - Off, Auto Power LCD, Power LCD, High Angle
  • Guide Line - Set Rec. Info (On/Off), Histogram (On/Off), and grid lines pattern
  • Histogram - Turn on a histogram
  • Rec Area - Puts up shaded brackets to show the recording area when shooting movies
  • Economy - Reduces the brightness of LCD to save battery power (Level 1 or 2)
  • Auto Review - Auto review after capture (off, 1s, 3s, Zoom)
  • No. Reset - Reset file numbering counter
  • Reset - Reset all settings to factory default
  • USB Mode - PC Mass Storage / PictBridge
  • TV Aspect - Choose 4:3 or 16:9
  • HDMI Mode - 1080i, 720p, 480p
  • Vera Link - Connect to Panasonic brand Televisions
  • Version Display - Display the current software version
  • Format - Format the memory card
  • Calibration - Calibrate the LCD Touch Screen
  • Language - Choose the menu language
  • Demo Mode - See demo of camera movement, or the auto demo
