Playback Screens & Menus

Here you can see the Playback options on the FX700. Above we have the standard playback of a still image, pressing the display icon controls the amount of information overlaid; minimal info, extended info, no information at all.

Index mode allows you to view your recorded images quickly and easily. It's activated by pressing the Wide zoom control or the Index icon on the screen. You have the choice of either viewing 12 or 30 thumbnail images at a time to quickly find the image you are looking for. If you have a lot of images on the card and know the specific date in which an image was taken, you can enter into the calendar mode and select your images based on its record date.

Pressing the zoom lever towards the telephoto end will bring up the Magnify option. It allows you to zoom in up to 16x so you can check for sharpness an see smaller details in the image.

Playback Menu Options:
  • Title Edit - Allows you to edit the titles of your images
  • Video Divide - Allows you to edit your movies
  • Text Stamp - Add Shooting Date, Name, Location, Travel Date or Title to an image
  • Resize - Create a smaller copy of an image already saved on your memory card
  • Cropping - Adjust the composition of your images after they were captured
  • Leveling - Slightly adjust the orientation of the image to level an object such as a building
  • Rotate Disp. - On or Off
  • Favorite - On or Off
  • Print Set - Single, Multi
  • Protect - Protect images from deletion
  • Face Rec Edit - Delete or Change Face Recognition settings
  • Copy - Copy images back and forth from the internal memory and SD card

Here you can see a variety of the editing options available in the playback menu on the FX700; Resize, Text Stamp, Cropping, Leveling, etc.

Watching movies on the camera is very easy thanks to the simple controls. You can also play them back on a computer or standard TV via the included cables. The FX700 also offers HDMI output with an optional HDMI cable.

Video divide allows you to split a movie, removing any unwanted parts from the beginning or end of your movies. This also helps trim down the length or file size of a clip.

Camera Settings Menu:
  • Clock Set - Set the time and date
  • World Time - Set a home location and the travel destination
  • Travel Date - Set the dates and locations for your trip
  • Beep - Changes the volume of several of the camera settings
  • Volume - Internal speaker volume control
  • LCD Mode - Off, Auto Power LCD, Power LCD, High Angle
  • Guide Line - Set Rec. Info (On/Off), Histogram (On/Off), and grid lines pattern
  • Histogram - Turn on a histogram
  • Rec Area - Puts up shaded brackets to show the recording area when shooting movies
  • Economy - Reduces the brightness of LCD to save battery power (Level 1 or 2)
  • Auto Review - Auto review after capture (off, 1s, 3s, Zoom)
  • No. Reset - Reset file numbering counter
  • Reset - Reset all settings to factory default
  • USB Mode - PC Mass Storage / PictBridge
  • TV Aspect - Choose 4:3 or 16:9
  • HDMI Mode - 1080i, 720p, 480p
  • Vera Link - Connect to Panasonic brand Televisions
  • Favorite - Tag photos as favotires
  • Version Display - Display the current software version
  • Format - Format the memory card
  • Calibration - Calibrate the LCD Touch Screen
  • Language - Choose the menu language
  • Demo Mode - See demo of camera movement, or the auto demo
