Oppo N1 Preview

Oppo has released the N1, the world's first Android smartphone with a "rotating camera." What is a rotating camera, you ask? Great question. Where most smartphones have a dual camera setup -- a primary rear camera and a secondary front-facing camera (with less resolution) for selfies and video chatting -- the N1 has only one. And this lone lens swivels up to 206 degrees allowing it to act as both the rear OR front camera. Built to withstand a hundred thousand rotations, the N1's camera boasts a 13-megapixel CMOS image sensor, a bright f/2.0 aperture, Full HD 1080p video recording, and a long exposure photography mode that takes still images for up to 8 seconds.

Other nice features include a large 5.9-inch 1920x1080 resolution HD touchscreen display, a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM (DDR3), 16GB-32GB Internal Storage (expandable by an additional 64GB via microSD, and 4G LTE cellular network capabilities. In terms of connectivity for other devices and/or social networking, the N1 includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and DLNA. Oh, and one last thing about the camera. If you need to wake the N1 to take a quick pic on the go, simply rotate the camera 120-degrees and, boom, the N1 boots up in less than a second.
