Playback Screens & Menus

Pressing the play button on the back of the camera takes the camera to playback mode, allowing you to view the images stored on the memory. The INFO button allows you to change the amount of information, all of which are shown above.

The "W" or wide end of the zoom rocker will allow you to enter the index mode when the camera is in playback mode. This allows you to quickly search through your stored images. Pressing this button more than once will allow you to see were in the world the highlighted image was taken.

Pressing the rocker the other way "T" allows you to zoom in on a single image. Once you have zoomed in, you can use the 4-way controller to scroll around the image.This is a great way to check focus and details when you do not have a computer handy.

Playback Menu:
  • SlideShow - Plays back a slideshow of the images on the camera either on the OLED screen or an HDTV with an optional HDMI cable.
  • Edit - See the next menu below
  • Erase - Select images to erase
  • Print Order - Select images and number of prints when connecting directly to a printer
  • Protect - Locks images so that they can not be accidentally deleted
  • Upload Order - Pre-select images to upload
  • Flash Air - This allows the use of the Flash Air WiFi card

Play Edit Menu:
  • Resize - Make a smaller copy of an image that is already saved on the SD card
  • Crop - Allows you to adjust the image by removing the outside edges
  • Audio Record - Record an audio message to play back with an image
  • Beauty Fix - Contains several settings for improving Portrait shots
  • Shadow Adj - Brightens areas in shadows during backlight shooting
  • Redeye Fix - Removes redness from the eyes of detected faces
  • Landmark - Change the landmark information
  • Rotate - Change the orientation of an image by 90°

The crop feature allows you to trim your images on the camera instead of a computer. This allows for quick edits in the field while you are shooting.

Resize is another convenient option, allowing you to make smaller copies of the images on the SD card. These are great for email and social media sites, and you can make them quickly without using a computer.

One option for playing back your recorded movies is on the OLED screen. With basic controls, you can watch and pause your movies. Sound comes from small built-in speaker. Through the HDMI port, these movies can also be shown on any HDTV.

Camera Setup Menu:
  • Format - Delete all images from the internal memory
  • Backup - Copy images back and forth from the SD card to the internal memory
  • Eye Fi - Allows the use of an Eye Fi card to transfer images over a wireless LAN
  • Custom Mode Setup - Save the current shooting settings
  • USB Connection - Auto, Storage, PC, Print
  • Play Power On - Allows the playback button to turn the camera on
  • Sound Settings - Set the camera's operation sounds
  • File Name - Reset, Auto
  • Pixel Mapping - Adjusts the CCD and image processor (Run once a year)
  • LCD Brightness - Adjust the brightness of the OLED (5 settings)
  • Info Off - 10 sec, Hold
  • TV Out - Adjust the Video output, HDMI Output and HDMI control
  • Power Save - Set the time for the camera to enter sleep mode to save the battery
  • Language - Choose the camera's menu language
  • Date & Time - The date and time are automatically set the first time you connect the camera to your computer
  • World Time - Change the camera's date and time to a travel destination without messing the your home time
  • Beauty Settings - Registers the settings of the beauty function
  • Tough Settings - Sets the Manometer, LED and Tap settings
  • GPS Settings - Adjust the function of the GPS
