Playback Screens & Menus

Pressing the playback button enters the camera into playback mode. Here you can see all of the images that you have stored on the memory card. The INFO button allows you to change the amount of information that is shown on the screen for your images, from none to a full set of details.

Pressing the zoom lever to the wide end allows you to view the index mode. Here you can browse thumbnail images to quickly find that certain image that you are looking for.

If you press the zoom lever the other way, you can zoom in on an image. Once you have zoomed in to the degree that you like, you can use the 4-way controller to scroll around the image.

Playback Menu:
  • SlideShow - Plays back a slideshow of the images on the camera either on the LCD screen or an HDTV with an optional HDMI cable.
  • Photo Surfing - Here you have a list of filters to sort your images on the left side and a small thumbnail on the bottom for a new way of quick searching
  • Edit - See the next menu below
  • Erase - Select images to erase
  • Print Order - Select images and number of prints when connecting directly to a printer
  • Protect - Locks images so that they can not be accidentally deleted
  • Upload Order - Pre-select images to upload

Play Edit Menu:
  • Resize - Make a smaller copy of an image that is already saved on the SD card
  • Crop - Allows you to adjust the image by removing the outside edges
  • Audio Record - Record an audio message to play back with an image
  • Beauty Fix - Contains several settings for improving Portrait shots
  • Shadow Adj - Brightens areas in shadows during backlight shooting
  • Redeye Fix - Removes redness from the eyes of detected faces
  • Landmark - Change the landmark information
  • Rotate - Change the orientation of an image by 90°

Camera Setup Menu:
  • Format - Delete all images from the internal memory
  • Backup - Copy images back and forth from the SD card to the internal memory
  • Eye Fi - Allows the use of an Eye Fi card to transfer images over a wireless LAN
  • Custom Mode Setup - Save the current shooting settings
  • USB Connection - Auto, Storage, PC, Print
  • Play Power On - Allows the playback button to turn the camera on
  • Sound Settings - Set the camera's operation sounds
  • File Name - Reset, Auto
  • Pixel Mapping - Adjusts the CCD and image processor (Run once a year)
  • LCD Brightness - Adjust the brightness of the LCD (5 settings)
  • Info Off - 10 sec, Hold
  • TV Out - Adjust the Video output, HDMI Output and HDMI control
  • Power Save - Set the time for the camera to enter sleep mode to save the battery
  • Language - Choose the camera's menu language
  • Date & Time - The date and time are automatically set the first time you connect the camera to your computer
  • World Time - Change the camera's date and time to a travel destination without messing the your home time
  • Reset Database - Restructures the database of images
  • Beauty Settings - Registers the settings of the beauty function
  • Tough Settings - Sets the Manometer, LED and Tap settings
  • GPS Settings - Adjust the function of the GPS
