When using the Self-timer, Flash, or Macro mode shortcut buttons located on the 4-way controller, their function is displayed for a few seconds on the color LCD. Pressing the Self-timer button enables or disables the 10-second shutter delay. Pressing the FLASH button cycles through: Auto, Fill flash, Red-Eye reduction, or Forced off flash modes, and the Macro button changes from Off, Macro, or Super Macro modes.

The Movie record mode screen. The total amount of recording time available is shown by the green "11:05" in the lower right hand corner. We have enough space on the xD card we used for our tests to record for 11 min. and 5 seconds. You can record movies at resolutions of 320x240 or 160x120 with audio. The length of recording is limited only by the amount of space available on the xD card. The zoom can be preset before recording, but it can not be used during.
