Nikon Coolpix W300 Preview

Nikon has announced the Coolpix W300 for summer 2017. A compact and rugged lifeproof-style point-and-shoot camera, Nikon describes the W300 as more of a refresh from last year's Coolpix AW130.

The major differences between this year and last?

Video recording is now 4K UHD (3840×2160/30p), the camera is shockproof to taller tumbles, and there's a new super-lapse feature, improved 5-axis Hybrid Vibration Reduction with up to three stops of compensation, Bluetooth, and altimeter/depth gauges.

The W300 retains a 100ft waterproof, 14F / -10C freezeproof and dustproof ratings, a 16MP CMOS image sensor, a 5x optical zoom lens (24-100mm equivalent, F2.8-4.9), 3.0" LCD, GPS, and NFC/Wi-Fi capabilities which use the free Snapbridge app for iOS and Android devices.
