For 2012, Nikon added their most affordable "Lifeproof" series sibling to the ranks; the Coolpix S30. This is the type of camera a busy family needs. It's affordable, easy to use, and it's got you covered for small drops up to 2.6 feet if the little ones borrow it, and an underwater rating up to 3 meters (or 9.8 feet).
