Nikon Coolpix P7000 Preview

Today, Nikon announced the Coolpix P7000, a prosumer digital camera that fills the gap between point and shoots and DSLRs. The P7000 sports very extensive manual controls for the SLR user, yet still attempting to keep it simple for the average consumer looking for a boost from their point and shoot.
Within the manual controls, users can adjust the aperture, shutter and other settings. This Coolpix model comes with a 10.1 Megapixel CCD sensor as well as a 7.1x wide angle zoom lens. The Nikon P7000 has a 921K dot 3 inch LCD screen, records 720p HD video, utilizes a vibration reduction system and has a variety of consumer friendly features like subject tracking and auto selection of scenes.
