Record Modes & Screens

Typical record mode screen display. The Zoom indicator displays briefly whenever the Zoom is operated. If the ISO is set to anything other than AUTO the speed is displayed to the right (100.) The Image size (2272 x 1704) and quality setting (Fine.) The bracketed 252 is the number of images remaining at the selected size and quality. On the far left bottom is the multi-pattern (matrix) metering icon, "P" for program exposure mode, 1/60 shutter speed and an aperture of F3.4.

Movie record mode screen display. The Coolpix 4300 can record QuickTime MOVie clips up to 40 seconds in length at 320 x 240 resolution at 15 frames per second. There is no microphone so the movies are silent. The optical zoom can be used during movie recording.

The QuickReview button lets you display the last image captured in a quarter-size screen without leaving Record mode. Press the button again to make the image full screen. Tap the shutter release to quickly return to Record mode.

The yellow flower icon indicates Super Macro mode which allows you to focus on subjects as close as 1.6 inches. Without leaving macro mode the camera can focus all the way out to infinity.

    Continuous: Single, Continuous, Multi-Shot16, VGA Sequence and Ultra High Speed

    Best Shot Selector: Off/On (takes a sequence of pictures and keeps the best one automatically)

    Image Adjustment: Auto, Normal, Contrast control, Image brightness, Black&White mode.

    Image Sharpening: Auto, High, Normal, Low, Off

    Lens: Normal, Wide Adapter. Telephoto 1, Telephoto 2, Fisheye 1 and Slide Copy Adapter
