Record Mode Screens & Menus

Here we have the Auto record mode screen. Icons indicate the amount of space left on the SD card (783 images), Auto flash mode, EV compensation 0.0 EV, and the time/date. Across the bottom are shortcuts icons for exposure mode, Album and self-timer. Using the stylus access these options, allowing you to quickly make changes.

When you half-press the shutter to achieve the focus and exposure lock, the AF target marks will turn green and show what area it is focusing on. If the focus does not lock, the AF marks will turn red like shown above.

The Scene option under the Capture menu, lets you select from 16 different pre-programmed modes (Portrait, Sports, Landscape, Close-up, Night portrait, Night landscape, Snow, Beach, Text, Fireworks, Flower, Museum/Polite, Self-portrait, Party, Children, Backlight), each optimized for unique subjects and shooting conditions. As you navigate the scene mode menu, a helpful description of each mode is displayed.

Close-up (Macro) mode allows you to focus on subjects as close as 4 inches (10 cm) at wide angle.

You choose a setting you simply touch the screen. Because the icons are large, the stylus is not needed.
