Playback Screens & Menus

Please excuse the poor quality of some of these screen captures. The Fujifilm X-Pro2 kit does not include an AV output cable, therefore we had to photograph the display screen for some of these screen captures.

Playback - main GIF.gif

With the X-Pro2, press the Playback button on the back of the camera to open the Playback mode and see the images you have stored on either memory card. You can change the data displayed on the screen for each photo by pressing the Disp/Back button on the back of the camera. The Playback display options are:

  • No data
  • Limited data, including shutter speed, aperture, EV, ISO, dynamic range, image size, image quality, and battery power
  • Extensive data, with file name, a histogram, date and time, pixel size, shutter speed aperture, ISO, EV, shooting mode, image quality, dynamic range, white balance, film simulation, highlight tone, shadow tone, color, sharpness, noise reduction, flash, EV, and AE (Two pages of extensive data are available, press the upward four-way button to see the second page.)
  • Favorite star ranking, with no other data

You can look through the images stored on the memory card quickly using the thumbnail view. With a single image displayed on the screen, spin the command dial on the back of the camera (located just to the right of the AE-L button) to the left to see the thumbnail images. Two thumbnail grids are available: 3x3 and 10x10.

Use the four-way buttons to highlight an individual thumbnail and press Menu/OK to bring that thumbnail image to a full screen view.

Playback - zoom GIF.gif
Fujifilm also included a magnification feature in Playback mode with the X-Pro2, allowing you to see more detail about a section of an individual photo. With a single image displayed on the screen, spin the command dial to the right to magnify the image. A small white outlined box will appear in the lower right corner of the screen, which represents the full size image. A smaller white box inside the larger box represents the current view on the screen. You can use the four-way buttons to change the current view. Twenty-three individual magnification levels are available.

Playback - movie GIF.gif

To play back a movie stored on the memory card, press the bottom button of the four-way buttons. You'll see a line graph across the top of the screen, indicating the amount of time expired and remaining in the movie.

Press the Disp/Back button with a movie displayed on the screen to see data about the movie. You'll have the same options you had with displaying your stored still images described earlier.

Playback - wireless GIF.gif

To make a connection over Wi-Fi with the X-Pro2, select Wireless Communication from the Playback menu. The best way to use the Wi-Fi connectivity with this model is to download the Fujifilm Camera Remote app to your mobile device.

You'll access the Playback menu in the Fujifilm X-Pro2 by pressing the Menu/OK button while in Playback mode. The Playback menu is indicated by the Play icon on the left side of the screen. Below the Play icon is a wrench icon, signifying the Setup menu (which we discussed on the previous page).

To scroll through the options in the Playback menu, use the four-way buttons. With the desired menu listing highlighted, press Menu/OK to see what options are available. Some settings in the Playback menu listing may be grayed out, depending on which type of image is on the screen when you open the Playback menu.

Two pages of Playback menu options are available, and the current page is indicated in the upper right corner of the screen. The Playback menu options are:

  • Switch Slot - Memory Card 1, Memory Card 2
