Record Screens & Menus

Please excuse the poor quality of these screen captures. The Fujifilm X-A3 kit does not include an AV output cable, therefore we had to photograph the LCD for the record screens.

The Fujifilm X-A3 allows you to change the data displayed on the LCD while you're shooting photos. Just press the Disp/Back button on the back of the camera.

In default view in Program Auto mode, video and still image resolution settings are displayed on the top of the screen. Shooting mode, EV, and ISO settings are along the bottom of the screen.

Press Disp to remove all data from the screen. Press Disp again to return to the original view with data on the screen.

You can see the Touch Shot icon in the upper right corner of the screen. This means you can record a photo by simply touching the screen. You can change this setting through the Shooting Menu to also cause a touch of the screen to set the autofocus point, the autofocus area, or to turn off the touch screen.

Record - mode dial GIF.gif
As you twist the mode dial on the top of the X-A3, you'll see a virtual mode dial appear on the right side of the screen, along with an explanation of the currently selected mode.

Record - SP AP GIF 2.gif
As you shoot in Shutter Priority or Aperture Priority modes, you'll see the shutter speed or aperture setting in the lower left corner of the display screen turn blue. This means you can change the setting by spinning the black command dial on the back of the camera. (It's partially hidden by the thumbpad.)

In Manual mode, both shutter speed and aperture are in blue. You'll use the black command dial to change the aperture and the silver command dial on the top panel of the camera to change the shutter speed.

Record - Q GIF.gif
As with many Fujifilm mirrorless cameras, the manufacturer included a Q button in the lower right corner of the back panel, which opens the Quick menu. It is a great way to change the settings quickly.

Use the four-way button to highlight different icons in the Q menu grid. Once the setting you want to change is highlighted, use either the black or silver command dials to scroll through the available settings. Press the Menu/OK button to lock in the change.

The Q button settings will change, depending on which shooting mode you're using. In Program mode the Q button settings are:

Twist the manual focus ring on the lens to change the focal length. The display will sharpen or blur as you twist the focus ring.
