Playback Screens & Menus
When you select Playback mode the last picture taken is displayed. You can
move backward or forward through the images using the LEFT and RIGHT buttons. The
amount of overlay information displayed is controlled by pressing the DISP button.
This is all the information that can be displayed, there is no extended exposure
information available.
You can quickly search through stored images using the Index playback function
which is actuated by pressing the DISP button. Nine thumbnail size
images will be displayed and you can select one using the LEFT or RIGHT buttons
and then pressing the Telephoto zoom button.
The image can be magnified in several steps by pressing the telephoto zoom button.
Once the image is enlarged at any step, you can move around (Pan) inside of it.
Movie clips can be played in the camera or viewed on a TV using the video cable.
There is a builtin speaker in the camera to heard the audio portion of movies or
voice memos.
Pressing the MENU button lets you Erase a single frame or all frames,
Protect or unprotect image(s),
Playback is a Slide Show for
automated playback on a TV, Voice Memo is for recording audio notes.
SET enters the SetUp menu, see below.
You can record up to 30 seconds of audio and attach it to still images. These voice
memos can be replayed in the camera and heard through the speaker.
SetUp menu in Record and Play modes:
IMAGE DISP. - Off/On, Allows review of capture for 2 seconds POWER SAVE - 2min/5 min/off FORMAT - Formats the xD-Picture Card BEEP - Volume of camera sounds, Low/High/Off SHUTTER - Volume of the shutter sound f/x DATE/TIME - setting of date and time FRAME NO. - Continuous or reset (file numbering) USB MODE - DSC(download to a PC)/PC Cam(webcam mode) CCD RAW - Enable the RAW capture mode instead of JPEG LANGUAGE - English/French/German VIDEO SYSTEM - NTSC or PAL video signal timing DISCHARGE - Discharge the NiMH rechargeable batteries RESET - resets all camera settings to default.
