Casio QV-3500 Review
Features & Controls
The QV-3500EX features a fast F2-F2.5 Canon optical 3x zoom lens, F=7-21mm (equivalent to 33-100mm on 35mm camera). It is threaded for a new Casio lens adapter for 58mm conversion lens and filters.
The autofocus system works from 30 cm to infinity in normal mode or using the
maco mode the coverage is from 6 cm to 30 cm.
The eyelevel zoom viewfinder has dioptric adjustment and two LEDs to indicate the
status of the focus and flash systems.
The built in flash has Auto, Fill, Red-eye reduction and Slow-synch modes or can be
disabled. The working range is from 0.5m to 4m.
The majority of the camera controls are on top. Around the shutter button is the Mode
and power dial with positions for RECord, Off and PLAYback. The Flash button cycles
through the modes (see above) in record, in play it serves to select the desired image
folder. The BEST SHOT button selects one of 28 built in scene programs (see next page).
The Focus button selects Macro, Infinity or Manual Focus mode and enables the Resize
function during playback. The Self-timer button pushed once sets a 10-sec delay, if
pushed twice it sets a 2-sec delay, in Play mode it serves as the frame delete button.
Controls on the back are the MENU button which calls up or dismisses the onscreen menu system. The 4-way selector is used to navigate menu screens and change shutter speeds and aperture values as well as selecting images during playback. The SET/DISP button accepts menu selections and is used to control the amount of data overlayed on the LCD as well as turning it on and off.
The PREVIEW button will display the last picture recorded while still in Record mode.
It will only function after you have taken a picture since the camera was powered up.
