Casio EX-Z3 Review


Record Modes
(Note: Please excuse the poor quality of these screen captures but the EX-Z3 does not have a video out feature so we had to photograph them.)
This is the still image record screen. The top-center icon indicates the record mode
(Single, Best Shot or Movie) Upper left is showing icons for flash status,
macro focus and incandescent white balance. There's space for 131 pictures at the current
settings of 2048x1536 Fine and there is a SD card in the expansion slot. Center left is
the realtime histogram display and in the center are the AF target marks. Lower left
is the status of the battery and on the right is the ISO equivalent, time and date
of capture.
There are 21 different Best Shot scenes:
Self-timer - Off, 2 or 10 secs Size - 2048x1536, 1600x1200, 1280x960, 640x480 Quality - Fine, Normal, Economy EV Shift - Exposure compensation +/-2.0EV in 0.3EV steps White Balance - Auto, sunny, cloudy , incandescent, fluorescent, manual
Digital Zoom - Digital zoom feature, On or Off Review - Review after capture, On or Off L/R Key - Assign a function to 4-way controller when in record mode: REC Mode, EV shift, Flash, White balance
REC Mode - On, Off Flash - On, Off Focus - On, Off White Balance - On, Off ISO - On, Off Digital Zoom - On, Off MF Position - On, Off
Startup - On, Off (display selected image at startup for 2 secs) File No. - File numbering, continuous or reset World Time - Set the time zone for display Date Style - MM/DD/YY, DD/MM/YY, YY/MM/DD Adjust - Set time or date
Sleep - Sleep timer 30s, 1m, 2m, Off AutoPowerOff - Turns camera completely off after 2m or 5m Format - Format the SD card Reset - Reset all parameters to default |
