Canon PowerShot N2 Preview

Canon has announced a successor to the elegantly designed N. The new PowerShot N2 looks similar to its predecessor, as this camera's main feature is a general lack of external buttons in favor of a touchscreen approach. You still get a 2.8" titling touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Full 1080p HD video, and an 8x optical zoom. However, under the hood, upgrades include a larger 16.1MP CMOS image sensor, image stabilization, and the newer DIGIC 6 image processor, which powers a number of advanced features like Zoom Framing Assist (the camera will automatically frame shots for whole body, upper body, or face shots), Zoom Memory (return to your last zoom settings), Face Detection and Tracking AF, Creative Shot Mode, Advance Movie Shooting (super slow motion, quick motion, and filters), and Smart AUTO (the camera chooses one of 58 pre-selected still image or 21 video scenes that fit shooting conditions).
