Record Screens & Menus

Auto shooting mode is a fully automatic shooting mode that takes care of all of the camera settings for you, including choosing the best scene mode for your current shooting situation. This leaves you to worry about framing your images, not adjusting camera settings. This allows this complex camera to work just as easily as any other point-n-shoot camera.

Program mode is another automatic shooting mode that gives the user some control over the majority of the shooting settings. While the camera still adjusts for a proper exposure, some of the creative controls are free for the photographer to make creative adjustments. Here you can also see the differing amounts of shooting information that can be shown on the LCD screen. You can change them by pressing the INFO button on the back of the camera.

Manual mode leaves everything up to the photographer, giving them complete control over the camera settings and complete creative control over your images. Aperture, shutter speed, and even focus can all be manually controlled in this mode. For those wanting to control most of the exposure process, but with some help from the camera, the G7Xii also offers both Shutter Speed Priority and Aperture Priority modes.

Pressing the "Q" button on the back of the camera or the LCD screen opens the Quick menu. With no 4-way controller, you must make your selections via the touch LCD screen, or by turning the ring around the lens.

The RING FUNC button on the back of the camera makes it easy to change the function of the front ring. This allows you to change it to fit your different shooting needs with just one touch of the button.
