The Canon PowerShot A4000 IS performed beyond our expectations for a sub $200 point-n-shoot. While it doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles, it captures nice 16-megapixel photos, has a versatile 8x zoom, and it won't break the bank. Read more in our Full Conclusion. |
The A4000 IS is the flagship of the A-series, and therefore has the most features and the longest optical zoom at 8x. It also has a 3.0-inch LCD screen and Intelligent IS (optical image stabilization) to help ensure crisp videos and stills at full zoom. The A4000 costs about $20 more than the A3400 IS, which only has a 5x optical zoom. However, the A3400 does include a touch screen viewfinder.
