On the thumb grip you will find the index and zoom buttons. The index button allows you to enter index view, where you can see thumbnails of the images stored on the SD card. This makes it easy to find that one image you want to see on a full SD card.

The zoom button allows you to zoom in on your images. Once you have zoomed in you can use the 4-way controller to scroll around the image. This makes it a great way to check the focus and details of your images when you do not have a monitor to view them on.
