NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 S Short Review
The Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.8 S has all the makings of a great lens, featuring exceptional sharpness, flare and ghosting minimization, and weather sealing. And that’s only to start. As one of the three lenses that Nikon first rolled out alongside its mirrorless system, this lens gives the Z-mount family an excellent kick-off. It’s definitely one of the sharpest lenses we’ve ever used and we love its color and contrast. But it also, in our humblest opinion, lacks a certain wow factor we’ve seen in other mirrorless 50mm lenses.
Still, the Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.8 S is ideal for portraits, landscape, street, and travel photography. And it definitely makes for a nice addition to to your Z-mount arsenal.
