Here you can see the high-resolution (230,000 pixel) 2.5-inch color LCD monitor, which takes up a large portion of the back of the camera. The various controls are illustrated below.
Controls on the back: At the top are the zoom controls, which also function as the image Index and Magnify buttons in play mode. Next is the "E"ffects button, which allows you to use creative effects on your images in record mode, and calls up the edit menu in playback mode. The Fn or Function button calls up a shortcut menu for quick adjustments to image/movie resolution, quality, metering, drive mode, ISO, white balance and exposure compensation. In playback mode it also acts as the image delete button. The 4-way selector controller is for navigating menu options, press the MENU/OK button in the center to call up the menu and accept a selection. Press "Right" to activate the Self-timer, press "Down" to enable Macro mode (Play/Pause button in playback), press "Left" to change flash modes and press "Up" controls the amount of information displayed on the LCD screen.
Along the bottom are the playback button (enters review mode), and the
OIS button, which enables or disables this feature.
On top you'll find the power On/Off switch, shutter release, built-in microphone, and the Mode dial with
positions for: Auto, Movie, Scene, Portriat, Guide, Dual IS, Manual and Program.
The combination I/O port is located on the right side of the camera. The miniature connector is for the
USB 2.0 (full-speed) data cable, Audio/Video cable for connection to a TV set, and used for charging the battery.
The L210 stores images, movies and sound clips on either the 10MB of internal memory or a SD/MMC/MMCPlus
cards up to 2GB, and SDHC cards up to 4GB.
Approx. 256MB Storage Capacity
The L210 is powered by a SLB-10A 3.7V 1050mAh Li-ion rechargeable battery pack. This Li-ion battery pack is charged while inside the camera, and Samsung has taken a creative approach to the AC charger.
The USB cable is also the charger cable - you just plug it into the small AC adapter included in the box or plug it into your PC to transfer your photos and recharge at the same time (note: charging from the PC takes about twice as long as using the AC adapter.) Samsung claims the following battery life:
