The i85 is powered by a proprietary SLB-1137D 3.7V 1100mAh Li-ion battery pack that is charged while inside the camera. Samsung has taken a creative approach to the AC charger. The USB cable is also the charger cable - you just plug it into a small AC adapter. The same USB cable plugs into your PC to transfer your photos and recharge from the PC. It took 2 hours to charge the battery using the AC adapter and 4 hours to charge directly from the PC.
