When you turn the Mode Dial to the SCENE position you will be shown a menu display
of the pre-programmed Scene modes available. It starts out with a large sample
picture which then shrinks down to make room for the text explanation of the mode.
There are 15 Scene modes available:
Portrait, Macro, Landscape, Night Scene, Sports, Landscape & Self Portrait,
Night Scene & Self Portrait, Fireworks, Sun Set, High Key, Document, Manor Shot,
Beach & Snow, Candle
Setup menu options:
- EV Step - 1/3, 1/2 or 1 EV for shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation
- ISO Boost - Off or On enables ISO 800/1600
- Manual Flash - Off or On
- White Balance Tuning - Fine tune white balance for the preset
settings (3000 - 7500 K) in 7 steps (20° K per step)
- Custom WB - Define the CWB1 - CWB4 values in degrees K
- AF Illuminator - Focus-assist: Off, On = use flash pulses
- AEL Metering - AELock metering mode: Auto, ESP, Center, Spot
- Release Priority S - Release shutter in S-AF mode before focus lock or
flash ready
- Release Priority C - Release shutter in the C-AF mode even while adjusting focus
- Custom OK - Customize OK button function: Off, Shortcut (Drive, One-Touch
WB,Monotone, Gradation, Saturation, Contrast, Sharpness, WB Bkt), Preview, AF/MF
- Time and Date - Set the camera's clock
- Reset - Reset all paramaters to default
- Filename - If Auto it will continuously increment, Reset will reset the numbers
- Rec View - View on LCD after capture: Off, Auto, 5s, 20s
- Beep Sounds - Button sounds Off, On
- LCD Brightness - Adjust LCD backlight
- Sleep - Auto off time: Off, 1m, 3m, 5m, 10m
- PC Mode - USB: Auto, Storage, Control, Print
- Language - Menu language
- Video Out - NTSC or PAL format
- Pixel Mapping - Map out bad CCD imager pixels
- Cleaning Mode - Manually initiate ultrasonic CCD filter cleaner, raise mirror
and opens shutter curtain
- Reset Lens - Resets the focus of the lens when powered down
