Note: Because the D-395 has no video-out port, the screen images presented on this page have been copied from the camera's Operations Guide; they are black and white as a result.

The OK/MENU button accesses the CAMERA CONTROLS:

MOVIE/STILL - Motion video capture at 15fps or back to still photography.

Image Size/Quality - Sets file size/resolution(SHQ 2048x1536, HQ 2048x1536, SQ1 1024x768, SQ2 640x480)

MONITOR OFF - Turns the LCD Monitor off or on.

MODE MENU - leads to four sub-menus for CAMera, PICture, CARD and SETUP:

CAMera options:

SCENE SELECT - PROGRAM AUTO, PORTRAIT, LANDSCAPE, NIGHT SCENE and SELF PORTRAIT
Macro - Select ON or OFF.
Metering - Select ESP or Center Metering.
Exposure Compensation - +/- 2
Panorama - With OM brand SM card: allows pan. photography
2 in 1 - Combines two sequential images into one new image,

White Balance - Auto, Sunny, Cloudy, Incandescent, Fluorescent

CARD:

Format - Format the xD-Picture card: Yes or No

Movie recording: there are 11 seconds of recording time remaining, maximum length of each clip in HQ mode is 15 seconds (60 seconds for 160 x 120 SQ mode). No sound is recorded. The digital zoom can not be used in movie mode.

SETUP options:

All Reset - If ON it resets all settings to default at power down
Language - Selects language for on-screen display.
Sounds - Enable or disable camera beeps
Rec View - If ON then immediately view image after capture
File Name - Changes how the file numbers are assigned: Reset or Auto(sequential)
Pixel Mapping - Checks the CCD and image processing functions.
LCD Brightness - a sliding scale for adjustment
Time/Date - Set the internal clock
