Toshiba to Showcase Next Generation of
Digital Cameras at PMA This Weekend

IRVINE, CA, February 5, 2001 --
Toshiba Imaging Systems, a division of
Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., announced today that it would
unveil a new line of state-of-the-art digital cameras at the Photo Marketing
Association (PMA) trade show on February 11, 2001 at the Orlando Convention
Center.
Toshiba, which took top honors at last year's DIMA Digital Camera Shoot-Out
at PMA with its popular PDR-M5 two-megapixel model, will be introducing
four new cameras at booth No. 1233. As a special offer to current owners of
Toshiba cameras attending the show, the company is offering free software
upgrades that enhances image quality and storage capabilities.

The Toshiba introductions are:
- The PDR-M11 sports a 1.3 megapixel CCD image sensor and is priced at
$249, making it an ideal starter model for novice photographers and casual
users who share photography over the web and via e-mail. As easy to use as
a standard "point-and-click" camera, the PDR-M11 offers USB technology,
SmartMedia storage, a fixed, all-glass lens (F2.8/F8.0), and resolution
modes of 1280x960 or 640x480.
- Priced at $349, the PDR-M21 is a 2.1-megapixel digital camera equipped
with a 2X digital zoom, SmartMedia storage and USB technology. The extra
care in the design of its 6-element auto focus lens (F3.0/F8.0) assures
professional-level results, and enables users to print color photos up to 7
inches x 10 inches with sharper details and crisp edges. Users have a choice
of shooting modes of either 1600 x 1200 or 800 x 600 for smaller files.
Sleek and compact, the PDR-M21's contemporary styling will appeal to
design-conscious consumers.
- The easy-to-use PDR-M61 ($399) offers an advanced 2.3 megapixel CCD that
is able to deliver photo-realistic images with vivid color and detail at
resolutions as high as 1792 x 1200. It holds several advantages over other
cameras in the sub-$400 category, including USB downloading, SmartMedia
storage, an all-glass 38mm, 35mm equivalent lens with 3X optical zoom and
macro capabilities, plus super-fast circuitry for quick start-ups and less
processing time between shots.
- The PDR-M65 3.3 megapixel camera with 3X optical zoom provides consumers,
photography enthusiasts and business users with a compact, high-quality,
low-cost camera that incorporates state-of-the-art imaging performance with
exceptional ease-of-use. Carrying an MSRP of only $599, it features
lightning-fast USB downloading, SmartMedia storage, a five-mode automatic
flash system, and a 2X digital playback zoom. It captures brilliant color
pictures in resolutions up to 2048 x 1536 pixels in universal JPEG format.
