record mode screen. Icons indicate the amount of space left on the SD
card (783 images), Auto flash mode, EV compensation 0.0 EV, and the time/date. Across the bottom
are shortcuts icons for exposure mode, Album and self-timer. Using the stylus access these
options, allowing you to quickly make changes.
When you half-press the shutter to achieve the focus and exposure lock, the AF target marks will
turn green and show what area it is focusing on. If the focus does not lock, the AF marks will turn
red like shown above.
Option under the Capture menu, lets you select from 16 different pre-programmed modes
(Portrait, Sports, Landscape, Close-up, Night portrait, Night landscape, Snow, Beach, Text,
Fireworks, Flower, Museum/Polite, Self-portrait, Party, Children, Backlight), each optimized for
unique subjects and shooting conditions. As you navigate the scene mode menu, a helpful description
of each mode is displayed.
(Macro) mode allows you to focus on subjects as close as 4 inches (10 cm) at wide
angle.
Pressing the menu button bring up this screen of options. Here you can choose Auto record mode,
Video (Movie) mode, Scene mode or enter the Record Menu. You choose a setting you simply touch the
screen. Because the icons are large, the stylus is not needed. You may also use the 4-way
controller and the Ok button to navigate the Menu system an select options.

You can record movies at 640x480 (24fps) with audio, for up to 80 minutes, depending on the available space on your memory card. Unlike most digicams that record audio, the optical zoom may be used during recording once the option is enabled via the Record menu.
Sliding the Mode switch to the Playback position will display an index page showing recently
captured images. This is just like your typical index page, allowing you to quickly search though
your saved images. Pressing the Ok button or the telephoto zoom control will bring the selected
photo full screen. image or movie.
Pressing the "i" button brings up this menu of options. You can add a Caption, move the image to an
Album or view the detailed exposure information.
Using the Telephoto zoom control you can enlarge the image 1x - 8x (in 1x steps) and then scroll
around it using the 4-way selector.
Movies can be displayed on the LCD or sent to your TV via the A-V cable. You can start,
pause or stop playback and control the volume of the camera speaker.
The EasyShare-One can connect to wireless networks and devices like the Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock
Plus Series 3. You can then print or email you images to friends and family (shown below.)
Here is an animation of the wireless printing process. You have to first enter Playback mode, then
enable the Wi-Fi card and search for available networks. The ES-one will then show any Wi-Fi
network of device that it recognizes. Once connected to the printer, you can then go about creating
4x6- inch prints.
