HP Photosmart 475
The HP Photosmart 475 GoGo Photo Printer lets you print and share your digital images anywhere, just grab its built-in handle and go. This compact and portable printer produces 4x6", 5x7" and 4x12" (panoramic) borderless prints quickly and easily. The Photosmart 475 is the first photo printer to feature a 1.5 GB internal hard disk drive - this lets you store up to 1,000 of your favorite photos or video clips. You can print these photos or use the TV output feature to display them on a big-screen TV and operate it from the comfort of your easy chair with the included remote control. Preview, edit and select photos on the tilting 2.5-inch color LCD display, no computer is necessary. Put your camera's memory card into one of the card slots (CompactFlash, SmartMedia, Memory Stick/Memory Stick Pro, Secure Digital, MultiMedia Card and xD- Picture Card), view the images on the color LCD, select the photos and press the Print button - that's it! HP Real Life Technology allows the printer to automatically detect and remove Red-eye and enhance detail in dark photo areas to make your pictures look even better. You can print directly from any PictBridge-compatible camera using the standard USB download cable. With the optional HP Bluetooth adapter you can also print wirelessly from camera phones and PDAs. The Photosmart 475 makes outstanding 4 x 6 inch color borderless prints in about 90 seconds and can also make 5 x 7 inch enlargements and 4 x 12 inch panorama prints. Your photos will look true-to-life with crisp detail and vibrant color with HP's Vivera Inks and will remain that way for up to 82 years. For the ultimate in portability you can install the optional internal Li-ion rechargeable battery in the bottom of the printer and use it anywhere to print up 75 photos per charge. And at home the Photosmart 475 can be connected to your computer's USB port and used like any other photo printer. HP includes a full suite of image editing, organizing and printing software.
The Photosmart 475 printer uses the 7 ml Tri-color hp95 print cartridge with Vivera Inks
or the larger capacity 14 ml Tri-color hp97 cartridge. If printing black and white photos
you can substitute the optional hp100 gray photo inkjet cartridge.
On the back of the printer is the input jack for the included AC power adapter which also serves to charge the optional Li-ion portable battery pack. The USB port supports Windows XP, 2000, Me, 98 or Mac OS X 10.1.5 computers and works with the HP Image Zone software and drivers provided. The TV output lets you connect the printer to a monitor or big-screen TV for family slideshow viewing.
The included infrared remote control allows you to operate the printer from across the room when it is connected to your TV set. You can control the slideshow playback, zoom and make photo prints from your easy chair.
The printer has four flash memory card slots on the front. There is a dedicated slot
for CompactFlash Type I or II cards including IBM Microdrive, a slot for SecureDigital
or MultiMediaCard, a slot for SmartMedia or xD-Picture cards and a slot for Memory
Stick (Memory Stick Duo and Memory Stick Duo Pro with adapter) cards. Only one card
can be inserted at a time, you will receive a warning if you attempt to insert more
than one card.
After inserting a memory card, the color LCD will say "reading card..." and
display the number of photos that it has found. It will then ask you if you want
to add the new photos to the internal storage and then shows a thumbnail index of
the pictures on the card.
The control buttons are clearly marked as to their function. And in its
simplest form you just insert a memory card, view the pictures on the LCD and
select the desired image(s) and press the PRINT button!
