Here's a typical record mode screen with the Menu Bar enabled. Across the top
is the camera information Indicating graphically and numerically the amount of

pictures taken plus a graphical representation of the amount of space that is
left on the Memory Stick.

The Movie record mode screen has most of the same data overlays as still image

during the recording process, and the preset amount of time for the movie clip (5,
10 or 15 seconds). If the movie size is 160x112 you can record for up to 60
seconds by holding the shutter button down.
During movie recording you can apply
the same white balance, EV compensation and most other still image settings too.
Clip Motion Recording
New on the DSC-P1 is the Clip Motion recording mode that lets you build GIF
animated sequences in the camera. There are two resolutions available; 160x112
allows for up to 10 frames to be merged into the animation or for mobile (PDA)
users the 80x72 lets you put two frames into the animation.
Clip Motion animation files are played back on the camera at 0.5 second intervals.
