Your Camera is Cool, but the Pentax K-r is a Robot

Cameras, especially dSLRs, aren't exactly the most exciting thing to look at. Generally speaking they're black, shaped the same as every other dSLR on the market and are virtually unidentifiable in the lineup. Whatever you may think of the new Pentax, you've got to admit it's different.

The new robot edition K-r is brightly colored in red, blue and yellow and sports a robot head on the top. It may look like a toy camera, but this is the real thing - priced at around $1,200.

Does it serve a practical purpose? You could probably justify picking this up if you photograph a lot of children, or if you just really like rainbow colored robots.

One bonus over the original is that it comes with a 35mm prime lens, so that's something.
