WPPI 2011 Breaks Attendance Records

There was a big buildup to the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) conference this year, and the event didn't disappoint. WPPI drew over 16,000 people and broke all previous attendance records.

Launch Pad, an event that took place the day before the event itself, attracted 2,000 attendees. WPPI U, a two-day workshop for those looking to improve their skills, filled completely with 600 people in attendance.

"Our inaugural WPPI U session was the most well received new program ever at WPPI," says WPPI VP George Varankis. " It seemed to take on a life all its own and attendees just loved it."

Next year's show is expected to be bigger and better and will take place from February 16th through the 23rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
