Canon's new i560 Desktop Photo Printer is the world's first PictBridge-enabled inkjet printer, which allows consumers to print directly from any PictBridge compatible camera or camcorder regardless of brand. Customers can also print high-quality borderless photos, sharp text or perfectly formatted web pages from the computer.As one of the fastest printers in its class, the i560 delivers print speeds of up to 22 pages per minute (ppm) in black and up to 15 ppm in color and it is capable of delivering a staggering 19 million droplets of ink per second at the maximum of 4800 x 1200 dpi color resolution. Dramatic improvements in speed and quality found in the i560 printer compared to its predecessor - the i550 model - are based on the inclusion of Canon technology found in the multi-award winning Canon i850 photo printer. This technology includes the i850 unit's print head and many of the print engine components.
