University of California San Diego Doubles Size of Photography Lab
Most stories involving schools and
photography are downers. Even when it comes to colleges, the arts
tend to get second billing to academics and sports. That's why it's
so refreshing to see a school that's actually kicking its arts
program up a notch. The new University City Center boasts 23 classrooms, 13 computer labs, video conferencing and an online learning studio. Even better, they've doubled the capacity of hands-on photography labs.
"We're delighted to have the additional space and ability to expand and grow our program," says Annika Nelson of San Diego's Art and Photography program. "This new lab location gives us the chance to meet the growing needs of our students, as well as give us some freedom to experiment and explore new photographic learning opportunities."
