United Kingdom Concludes that Photo Books Count as Books

Are-Photo Books-books.jpgThere's been a significant legal battle happening in the court system overseas on whether or not photo books, like the ones created by Truprint, count as traditional books. It seems like a matter of semantics, but the difference is significant when it comes to taxes.

According to a tax court in the U.K., photo books do indeed count as books since they're bound, printed and there's content inside. Books are exempt from taxes in the U.K. which means Truprint is owed a significant amount of money from the government.

The total amount that Truprint will be getting is around $1,500,000. Half of that covers the taxes the company paid and the other half covers legal costs.
