Travel Photographer of the Year Winner Announced

This year's Travel Photographer of the Year (TPOTY) awards have been announced and the winner's galleries unveiled. The results, as you might expect, are tremendous.

The overall winner and Travel Photographer of the Year is Larry Louie, a humanitarian documentary photographer and optometrist. " Aside from being beautiful, sumptuous images in their own right," says TPOTY founder Chris Coe, "Larry's photographs linger, inviting you in to explore their intricate detail and fascinating textures."

Along with Louie, several other photographers were honored including the amazing 13 year old Chase Guttman and 14 year old Sam Bayliss who are well on their way to being incredibly good pros.

The gallery can be found on the Travel Photographer of the Year site, and is well worth a look. The photos featured are nothing short of excellent.
