Travel Photographer of the Year 2011 Contest is Open

The Travel Photographer of the Year (TPOTY) contest for 2011 is accepting entries, starting now and ending on October 9th. Winners will receive a generous prize package and have their work featured at the Royal Geographic Society.

Last year's contest featured entries from countries around the globe and the folks at TPOTY are expecting even more this year. Four portfolio categories are open for entry, as well as two single-image categories and categories for new and young photographers.

You can enter at the Travel Photographer of the Year website and find all of the official rules there. The entry fee is 10 British pounds or around $16.
