Top 5 Tips for Shooting Fireworks

The 4th of July holiday is next week for those of us living in the U.S. and I imagine that many of you want to capture some of those magnificent fireworks displays with your digital camera. Our friends over at Photobird.com have posted their Top 5 Tips for Shooting Fireworks -- which actually has more like a dozen tips.

Most digicams have what it takes to capture good fireworks images - namely a self-timer and a tripod socket. Many digicams have a "Fireworks" scene mode in their menu. The most important thing to have besides patience and good timing is a TRIPOD!  Remember that even though you're shooting at night, fireworks are very bright so it isn't like taking ordinary night shots. Use your Infinity focus mode if you have one and be sure to bring along another set of batteries.
