Tiger Shark Nabs a Camera Rig

Shark.jpgYou know what? Maybe it's time to stop taking pictures of large and potentially larcenous undersea creatures.

It wasn't long ago that a manta ray was caught red handed making off with a camera, but now we've got a kleptomaniac shark on our hands. Photographer Karin Brussard traveled to the Bahamas to capture the images of some underwater life and hit the jackpot.

"There were about six or seven tiger sharks down there and we couldn't believe our luck," she says. "We were having a great time photographing them all until one diver swam toward one of them trying to get a better shot."

At that point the shark seemed to get irritated and decided that enough was enough. It snatched the camera right out of the photographer's hands, allowing Brussard to snap several photographs of the deed in action.
