Tiffen Releases a New Stedicam and Tripod
It's always interesting to see a
company launching a very high-end product right alongside an
entry-level product. That's the case with Tiffen, which has
announced both the new Steadicam Scout and the Magnum XG Tripod. The Scout Steadicam is well out of the range of non-professional photographers, but those in the video field will be interested to know that it boasts a newly designed sled assembly, a "friction free" gimbal assembly and an Iso-Elastic stabilizer arm. If you're so inclined, you can pick up the Scout now for $6,995 US.
On the other end of the spectrum,
Tiffen's Magnum XG Tripod features the new FX12 low profile head, a
built-in fluid system, redesigned alloy legs and can be had for just
$99 US. The Magnum XG also boasts improved quick-action leg locks and a
better leg angle release mechanism. Learn more at Tiffen's website.
