Thumber v3.1 Now Available
Max Lyons emailed me to say he had just released Thumber v3.1 which has been significantly upgraded. New features include: an image editor, with user-defined 3x3 filtering, sharpening, levels, brightness, contrast, gamma and resample capabilities. Added ability to save JPG files with user defined compression settings. JPG decoding now handled by Intel JPG library for much better quality images. Saves the EXIF/APP12 data to file which means it can be put back into your resized/edited/saved images.
Thumber now determines focal length and ISO information from a file named cameras.txt so it can be updated/modified by user to add support for new cameras. Scale thumbnails by percent as well as size. Light Source (White Balance) and Program (Exposure Program) reporting. Added "smart" EXIF/APEX decoding. Shutter speed and aperture can be displayed as "standard" values. That is, shutter speeds of 1/8, 1/15, 1/30, etc., instead of 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, etc. (Still experimental.) Improved Thumber.ini. No more error messages for future updates!
So I guess you get the point -- Thumber has been significantly upgraded! Check out this fine program for yourself, it should be in any serious digicam'ers toolbox.
