Tenba announced today that they're adding another backpack to their Shootout collection.

The new Ultralight Backpack lives up to its name.  Though it's got room for two camera bodies, up to five lenses and the usual assortment of accessories, it weighs in at just forty-eight ounces.

Tenba's design process was intense, according to Product Manager Peter Waisnor.  "We spent months designing a really functional, protective and feature-filled backpack, then spent a few more months figuring out how to leave in all the muscle and get rid of all the fat."

The result is an incredibly light backpack made of dobby nylon and diamond ripstop nylon.  The materials are durable and water resistant, but light weight.  YKK zippers were selected for durability and weather sealing qualities.

"The Ultralight's feature set and capacity-to-weight ratio is truly groundbreaking for the photo industry," says Wainsor, adding that he knows of no comparable backpack under three pounds.

Tenba's new Ultralight Backpack is available now in a variety of colors at a suggested retail price of $134.95.
