Tamron Launches a New Mobile Site for Smartphones

Smartphone owners will now have a far easier time when it comes to browsing the Tamron website. The company's newly launched mobile site is aimed directly at smartphone users and takes advantage of some of the things that smartphones can do.

If, for example, you're using a smartphone with GPS capabilities, you can find nearby Tamron retailers, find events in your area and download coupon and rebate information for your area. You can even tell Tamron to text you whenever something's going on in your area.

"Earlier this year, Verizon executives said 26 percent of the phones on their network are Smartphones, but they expect that number to pass 50 percent before the year is out," says Tamron CMO Stacie Errera. "It made perfect sense for Tamron to provide its customers with a streamlined mobile website that better enables our customers to stay connected with Tamron."

Visiting the normal Tamron USA website will automatically take you to the smartphone specific site if you're using a smartphone.
