Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD Lens Receives TIPA 2019 Award

Tamron has announced that its 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A036) has earned the TIPA 2019 Award for "Best Mirrorless Standard Zoom Lens." This is now the sixth consecutive year that Tamron has received a TIPA award. CLICK HERE to check out our full review of the lens.

The Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) is comprised of a worldwide collection of photo and imaging magazines. The editors of these magazines then meet annually to vote on which products should receive TIPA awards in a variety of categories.

The Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD is a wide-angle to portrait-length zoom lens for Sony E-Mount cameras. The device's optical design features one XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) element and one LD (Low Dispersion) element to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations, along with two hybrid aspherical elements and one molded glass aspherical element to reduce distortions and spherical aberrations. In addition, the unit incorporates a rounded nine-blade diaphragm to help produce a pleasing bokeh effect.
